𫨠TENNESSEE WALKS OFF FSU
Trailing the Noles since FSU's monstrous 6-run third inning, the top-seeded Volunteers closed their deficit to 11-8 entering the ninth. In the final inning, the Vols built their score with a leadoff triple off the bat ofKavares Tears, who was then scored by Dean Curley's sac fly to right field.
Three batters later, with two up and two out, Blake Burke hit a 2-RBI single up the middle to knot the scoreboard at 11-all.
Billy Amick then singled, advancing Burke to second, who was brought home by Dylan Dreiling's RBI single to left centerfield. This completed the Vols' stunning walk-off feat as they topped Florida State 12-11 in Game 2 of the 2024 MCWS.

π’ Mid 1st | FSU scores to take early lead
The Vols made a call to the bullpen much sooner than planned in the first to stave off FSU's aggressive offense. Tennessee LHP Chris Stamos recorded his 10th start of the season and allowed a hit and walk before RHP AJ Causey took the mound. After Causey struck out a batter, FSU's Max Williams scored on a wild pitch as the Noles took a 1-0 lead.
